About The True Rellgion Islam

Hellfire is the eternal residence of the disbelievers and the hypocrites who reject to worship Allah with sincerity and who oppose His religion. Hellfire is the eternal residence of the disbelievers and the hypocrites who reject to worship Allah with sincerity and who oppose His religion.

It is Allah's Mercy that He had informed us of what would await us in Hellfire of painful and never-ending torment, for this is certainly one of the main driving forces that lead man to observe and fulfill Allah's commandments.

This is a vast subject, and as much as Muslims acquire knowledge in it, as much as their fear from Allah and their sincerity with Him will increase, Allah willing. We will touch on this subject lightly, asking Allah that this will be of benefit for all His slaves.

The Messenger of Allah, (p.b.u.h.), said, what translated means, “The distance between the two shoulders of the disbeliever in Hellfire is the distance that a fast rider takes in three days.” (Al- Bukhari & Muslim). “The Kafir’s tooth (in Hellfire) is as big as Mount Uhud, and the thickness of his skin is the distance taken in three (days by a traveler).” (Muslim). “Crying will be permitted for the people of the Fire, and they will cry until the tears finish. Then, they will cry blood until it (the blood) leaves tunnels in their faces, that if ships are let go in them (the tunnels in their faces), they (the ships) will sail!” (Ibn Majah). “The big, fat man will come on the Day of Resurrection and he will not weigh more than a mosquito’s wing in Allah's Sight.” (Al-Bukhari & Muslim), and, “The Fire will overcome some people to their ankles, some to their knees, some to their bellies and some to their necks.” (Muslim).

Also, the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) said, what translated means, “People will sweat on the Day of Resurrection until their sweat goes down the ground seventy arm’s lengths, and until it overcomes them and eventually cover them up to their ears.” (Al-Bukhari & Muslim).

Furthermore, Abu Hurayrah narrated, “We were once with the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.), when he heard a sound. He said, ‘Do you know what this sound was?’ We said, ‘Allah and His Messenger have more knowledge.’ He said, ‘This is a stone that was thrown into the Fire seventy years ago, and it kept falling until now when it reached its bottom, and this is what you have heard, the sound of its falling.’” (Muslim).

In addition, the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) said, what translated means, “The Lord will speak with each one of you with no translator between the person and Him. He (a person) will look to his right, and he will only find what he had done. He will look to his left, and he will only find what he had done. He will look forward, and he will only find the Fire in front of his face. Therefore, seek safety from the Fire, even with half a date (that you give in charity).” (Al- Bukhari & Muslim), and, “If a drop of Zaqqoom (a tree that grows in Hellfire) is dropped on this Dunya (this world), it will spoil the lives of the people of the Dunya. So how about those whose food is from it?” (Ahmad, An-Nasai & Ibn Majah).

The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.), also said, what translated means, “When Allah created Paradise, He said to Jibreel, ‘Go and look at it.’ He went and had a look at it and came back, saying, ‘O Lord! By Your Grace, no one hears of it but will want to enter it.’ Then, Allah surrounded it with hardships and said, ‘O Jibreel! Go and look at it.’ Jibreel went and had a look at it and came back, saying, ‘O Lord! By Your Grace, I fear that no one will be able to enter it.’ Also, when Allah created the Fire, He said, ‘O Jibreel! Go and look at it.’ Jibreel went and had a look at it, then came back, saying, ‘By Your Grace, no one will hear about it and will want to enter it.’ Then, Allah surrounded it with desires and said, ‘O Jibreel! Go and look at it.’ Jibreel went and had a look at it and then said, ‘O Lord! I fear that no one will be saved from entering it.’” (Ahmad & Al-Hakim).

Therefore, any Muslim who reads and comprehends what Allah and His Messenger have said, will definitely do whatever he can to avoid ending up in this most hateful and painful place. We ask Allah that He guides us all to stay away from His Fire and to enter us into Paradise, Ameen.
